Beat Down

In Beat Down, a boxing nun puppet that I control punches me continuously in the face. The puppet is self-punishing as well as a representative of the outside world. My reaction to the punches is one of indifference, a numbness related to the repetition of being beaten. The guilt aspect of my Catholic upbringing concerning relationships, sexuality and sin is shown in this video.
